Founded in 1925, The Martin County Property Appraiser’s Office (MCPAO) is one of 67 county property appraiser offices in the State of Florida.Governed by the Florida Department of Revenue, the MCPAO values more than 95,000 real, commercial, industrial, and tangible personal properties throughout the County for a total of 543.46 land area square miles.The MCPAO is one of 52 offices in the United States and Canada to receive the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration from the International Association of Assessing Officers.


 

Mission:

The Martin County Property Appraiser is your local government agency responsible for locating, identifying and valuing real and tangible personal property located in our county. We establish fair and equitable market values, maintain ownership records and administer exemptions for property tax revenue. Our goal is to accomplish this in a manner. that assures public confidence in our accuracy, productivity and fairness.

About Jenny Fields

Jenny Fields is the Martin County Property Appraiser.She has been with the Property Appraiser’s Office since 1989. She was elected to office in 2020 and took her official oath on January 5, 2021.Jenny is responsible for valuing all residential, commercial, agriculture, industrial, and tangible personal property in Martin County.She is also responsible for providing the tax roll to the Department of Revenue each year.Jenny guides a team of 40 office professionals who maintain property ownership records, address changes, parcel boundary maps, and administers exemptions and agricultural classification to Martin County residents.
